REET Exam News 2025: REET Exam Centers Canceled in 9 Districts, List of Exam Centers May Be Released by This Date!

Jaipur: The Rajasthan administration is busy with preparations for the REET exam, which is essential for becoming a teacher in the state’s government schools. A new decision has come regarding the exam, which states that the REET exam centres will not be held in the 9 districts where the exam has been cancelled. As a result, all candidates will be allowed to change their district. Additionally, all female candidates will be allotted exam centres in their home districts.

The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education is continuously on alert regarding the REET exam. This decision was made after the announcement of the cancellation of the exam centres in certain districts. For the first time, exam centres will be set up in all 41 districts of the state. According to the board, female candidates will be given exam centres in their home districts, and the board will try to allocate centres for male candidates in their home districts as well. If that is not possible, they will be allotted nearby districts. The board is making consistent efforts to ensure this.

Board Requests Exam Center List by January 5th

The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education has asked all collectors and district education officers to submit a list of exam centres by January 5th. The exam will be held in the newly declared 41 districts of Rajasthan. According to the information, 66,662 candidates have applied for Level 1, 1,60,395 for Level 2, and 19,620 for both levels. The total number of applicants is approximately 2.5 lakh. The number of centres will depend on the number of applications for the REET exam. The exam will be conducted in two shifts: the first shift will be from 10 AM to 12:30 PM, and the second shift will be from 2:30 PM to 5 PM.

REET Exam to Be Conducted with Full Transparency

Last time, the REET exam was embroiled in controversies due to paper leaks and fake candidates. However, this time, the board has taken strict measures for the exam, ensuring full vigilance on papers, students, and centres. Exam papers will be kept in double locks with security guards near the treasury, and in districts without a treasury, temporary treasuries will be set up. Additionally, committees at the district level have been formed under the chairmanship of district collectors. These committees will consist of 10 members each. To catch fake candidates, biometric systems will be used at each centre, and each centre will have CCTV cameras and security personnel for surveillance. Personnel involved in paper leaks or fake candidate cases will not be assigned exam duties. The Rajasthan Public Service Commission and the Staff Selection Board will publicly release the list of blacklisted candidates.
